Help - How to get around on SafariBears:

Here you can choose a Username if you want to get greeted specifically on the main page.
You can change the looks of SafariBears with the themes, but the functions remain the same. This is for people that don?t like the general LCD-style theme and prefer something more colourful as ?Provence? or somewhat less playful (?Spartan?).
Slideshow Mode Manual or automatic forward to the next image after 'x' seconds (3, 6 or 10).
Attention, this is only active if the checkbox 'Slideshowmode' is actived when looking at the images. More about that below. The automatic forward can be switched off again, be deactivating the 'Slideshowmode' checkbox. Then one can set it either to manual or select a different speed.
Also one can pick the preferred language (Deutsch / English / Français).

Find the Section you want to see (like to the slideshows) by cycling through the options with the left/right buttons. Go there by clicking on the thumbnail. In the example it would be the page with my slideshows.

The Slideshow Selection

Upon selecting to go to the Slideshows section the view will change to the view seen above.
The main navigation on the left remains, new is the Slideshow navigation. Either do a preselection via the radio buttons (then the slideshow displays below will get shown accordingly), or just look at the slideshow displays in the lower section and pick one.

The upper part consists of the thumbnail (preview) on the left side and the corresponding description on the right side
In general all informations about the shown image are on the right side: First, as already said, the description for that image, below that is an element that shows the year of the shot, the flag of the region and the camera model that I used to do the shot.
Below that is link to KMZ files for Google Earth and a feedback icon (with a pen) to leave a comment for that slideshow.
On the left side below the preview are the control elements. The middle element contains everything to navigate within the slideshow, or to start the automatic slideshow mode.
The lower control element ('Back to Slideshow Selection') brings you back to the higher level, to the selection page for all the slideshows and the Main Navigator of SafariBears.de on the left side.

In the upper right and left corners are the buttons to scroll through the pictures, in between the display showing which picture of how many pictures is being shown (5/81).
Very important is also the checkbox Slideshowmode on the bottom line: When activated the large images will be shown immediately when scrolling, the text will be ignored.
As mentioned above, with Slideshowmode activated, one can have automatic forward. For that there are also the Radio Buttons (0), (3), (6) and (10). (0) stands for manual, the rest gives the seconds until automatic forward.

This is the view you get after either clicking on the thumbnail image, or having Slideshowmode switched ON: When clicking on the image, one gets back to the standard view with the preview image and the description.
New is the 'Remote Control'. The little element contains everything important (previous, next, Slideshowmode on/off and the seconds for the slideshowmode).
One can grab the 'Remote Control' on the left side and move it with the mouse around.
