The Nymphaea is a litte pet zoo on one of the neckar islands, a bit outside of Esslingen, between the industrial area of Oberesslingen on the one side of the river, and Sirnau on the other side. On the map of Map24 it's the Nymphaeaweg, going to the left from the Dieter-Roser-Brücke.

Especially for people with little kids aged 2 and 10 the Nymphaea is a great spot. There are plenty of animals to look at: From fishes, snakes, guinea-pigs to birds in many large bird-cages, to donkeys, goats and deer. Those can even be fed with special popcorn, that one can buy at the entrance. Talking about the entrance, the fee for grown-ups is 2,20, and as little as 50 cents for kids.

There is also (as usual with societies in Germany) a club house with a restaurant, a small beer garden where one can have grilled sausage and french fries, and a play-ground.
Plenty of things to keep your little brats busy for an afternoon!

I made a few pictures, but I won't comment them.
